I think Mayenda has more upside than Isidor but I currently think that Isidor is more ready for the premier league. He’s an instinct finisher, Mayenda seems to need more time to get his shots off and Isidor is better with quick reactions and when he doesn’t have a lot of time to think about it. Next season that could be crucial.
Just want to say this. Had Sheffield Utd gone up with the squad they played at Wembley they’d have got relegated. We narrowly beat them and finished much lower in the league points wise. Being loyal to last seasons squad would have led to a miserable year. We need the best of it to stay and adjust among premier league quality players. I don’t want another McCarthy level year out of loyalty and a thumping or two in the first 6 weeks would have meant the last season team started to go flat and turn.

As for Isidor his finishing is top notch, not arsed about his ‘all round game’ not every striker in the world can do everything they all have play styles

Not too sure about that. He seems to be well set to get in the Dortmund midfield. I would say he would have been a regular for us had he stayed, and we maybe dont sign a Diarra or a Sadiki. Easy to forget how good he is I think, in amongst the excitement of new players.
Get him a squad of capable players then. He doesn’t want to use people who aren’t good enough. Fine with me. Got us promoted
Pleased you mentioned about attacking that back post. I thought it was noticeable yesterday it wasnt something that came natural to him. I think it is so important for wide players to be able to do that, and you need to blindside the full back if you can. Such a threat when it happens.
Wilson running onto Xhaka balls will work on the prem. He’s an instinctive finisher, look at the stats. His shot placement is elite too always finding the far or near corners.
A lot of people will disagree but having a core of 15/16 players in the Prem works better than in the championship. 8 less games.
Agree with this. He would have stepped up again among better players. Wouldn’t say no to him and Xhaka. Not complaining about who we’ve got, but the new signings have done nothing yet.
I think we need to play at higher intensity mind. We need subs on to maintain levels, but I get your point.
It's not many mate. Just a few with too much time. IMO, we aren't going to sign anyone better than Wilson if he left.
