Not sure if I want this to happen as it would probably see Isak leave, or don't want it to happen as I rate Sesko so highly.

Don't rule Man U out of bidding again. They need a huge rebuild after last season and unless Amorim is a total idiot he'll know they need another striker or they'll be as ineffective this season as last.

Interesting, I’m not convinced with sesko. Athlete but his ball striking / finishing isn’t all that

tends to just hit it as hard as he can. Don’t think he’ll be as useful for the wingers either
I get what you're saying but I also see year on year progression across the last 5 seasons and he's still just 22. Think there was a lot more thought in his finishing this last season with a lot more low shots rather than trying to take the net off but if he can develop that further I think he'll be top.

Something I've noticed about myself though is that I love athletes. I think i'd have a team of 6ft5 monsters if I had the choice so maybe that's why I like him:emoticon-0140-rofl:

I can’t argue with the athlete like the man’s a joke,

didn’t watch as much this year as previous, so if he’s improved his finishing then fair, but I’m concerned that no one’s taken a punt on him at that age

Man Utd are interested in Watkins as well aren’t they. I’d rather have him than Sesko.

Villa are close to breaching PSR so I think he’ll be available for the right price.

Cheers mate I’ve been looking forward to it since Wembley.
Yeah that sort of thing is a trigger for me so I agree. I don’t get fans trying to one up others it’s the same with the away fans that go all the time. At the end of the day we are all Sunderland fans whether you get to 38, 10, 1 or none it’s not a competition
I can not go to any games now but am still a huge fan and supporter of my club. Attendance at games is fantastic but I show my support by getting up at 2 and 3 in the morning to watch games before going to work.
We all follow our own path following the club and TBH supporting from afar has many problems but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

He's obviously a highly rated talent, but for €90m you should surely be getting someone who is already at the elite level?

His goal scoring record is decent but no more than that. What makes him worth €25m more than Gyokeres or €35m for than someone like Boniface?

Chemsdine Talbi explains Kyril Louis-Dreyfus role in Sunderland talks

WHEN Chemsdine Talbi was contemplating his future this summer, amid interest from Sunderland, his knowledge of the club was somewhat limited. Big club, fell on hard times, won promotion back to the Premier League. That was about that.

Then he had a talk with Kyril Louis-Dreyfus. The Sunderland owner has taken a hands-on role throughout this summer’s recruitment process, talking to prospective signings, helping negotiate deals, and even flying his own private jet to Switzerland to wrap up Granit Xhaka’s transfer and help transport the midfielder back to Wearside….

“The key thing for me is this is a big club with a lot of ambition,” said Talbi, who joined Sunderland last month in a £19m move from Club Brugge. “That was the main thing that the president [Louis-Dreyfus] said when we had our conversation.

“I thought it was a good move to do. The president had a really good view of what he wanted to come next for the team in the Premier League. I was excited about the project, so I came here. I think it's a good step for me. Not a big step, but a good step, I think. Yes, it’s a little bit different, but we need a challenge in life, and I will take the challenge 100 per cent.”

…The youngster is set to be involved again when Sunderland host Real Betis at the Stadium of Light this afternoon and cannot wait for the real business to begin when the Black Cats host West Ham in their Premier League opener in a fortnight’s time.

“It really excites me,” said Talbi. “The Premier League is one of the best leagues in the world, and I’ve played a few games against top teams in the Premier League. I’m really excited to play these games, and we hope we'll be getting good results. If you play against really top teams, you need to be efficient, so you will not get a lot of chances. We need to be compact and get the counter-attacks. We need to keep the ball and, as I say, we need to be efficient.”

“I am young, but I think I already have a lot of experience,” said Talbi. “We [the summer signings] might be young, but I think we have a lot of experience. A lot of the other players have this experience also. This generation, we are a lot of young guys, but we have played in big games, so it's not about the age. I think it's really more about the experience that you get into the club.”

(About playing with Xhaka) “He is a very good player,” said Talbi. “I think he will bring a lot of experience to the team that I think we need and I’m really excited to play with him.”
