Highly unlikely that a newlu promoted side were going to be able to sign a proven goalscorer tho

These guys all have the upside I'd want in our CFs

No doubt we will need to share goals around and yhats why I'm really keen on a proper X factor AM/forward to come in

Well of course they all have an upside but none have played at this high level

Chelsea were crying out for a number 9 for large spells last season and he wasnt picked

needed someone with a bit of nouse and premier league experience

means nowt

compare the profile of him to dorgu and then the profile of united wing backs to sportings under amorim

he's got the 10s in the attributues he wants, Dorgu is another amorim attribute player

tht system is all about the 10s and wing backs

its not insane just highly unlikely

weve got the financial wiggle room and could pump neil and patto for the sweet PSR gain

Wages very, very high. Fee very high.

Just do not see this. Maybe if he hadn't signed that new deal, but it was a Utd deal. They pay whopping wages and it was a very long contract

Not many of them about tho and the ones that do are either totally past it (Vardy) or are way too expensive (muniz)

We def need some more experience in the squad but I just look at whether a player improves us or not - this lad does and if he starts to realise his potential with us then he will get double figures next season imo

He played one of the 10 roles against Bournemouth and could also be used as cover as a RWB for them so a very highly skilled squad player

true but they havent bought them two for them not the be the 10s

and besides, united both do and don't need cash and ultimately if selling x allows them to get y and z, why woulndt they?

I mean they hired a manager that plays in a way their squad isn't built for, massive changes still needed for them.

Crying out for a striker, CM, GK and really a RWB and CB.

People need to start believing

Offers something different which is what i'm happy with, he is described as a classic 9 and a throwback to the old type of 9, he's 6ft 2 but he can also press very well
He looks a real handful on the YouTube link. Always on his toes

Any striker with Premier League experience deemed good enough would have cost a fortune. Anybody with Premier League experience within an acceptable budget, it would be highly likely that they would be deemed not good enough.

Totally, but that doesn't mean guaranteed starts. Chelsea will likely believe in him that much that they'll trust him to get in ahead of Mayenda and Isidor

We have clearly convinced them that we are the right club for his development
I would guess Chelsea preferred him getting games in the prem over a European league. He maybe would play more for a French or German side, but the value of playing premier league is what Chelsea will want. I cant see any commitments being made on game time, that is perhaps a thing of the past. Personally I find him very exciting. A bit similar to Mayenda, but he really does seem to have an aggressive streak that I like. Could very well be a 10 goal man for us - which could be crucial.

Really really hope you are right, I just dont see it

See how man utd squad start shaping in the coming weeks but for me hes is both a back up 10 and wing back and guaranteed quality

I’d say after Guiu and Roefs are confirmed we’ll sign another 3/4 players and getting the striker as a loan allows us to spend more elsewhere

If we look at the 20 million we were going to spend on a striker (as reported) the 16 million difference between what we were prepared to spend on a keeper (petrovic) and Roef that’s 36 million extra alone and that’s not including the money we had locked into Lauriente before we pulled out of the deal

We’re having a belting window so I’m going to remain confident we’ll bring another in, but if our 3 front men are Guiu, Mayenda and Isidor I’d be slightly worried. Guiu played well in the conference league but let’s remember he was playing against Shamrock Rovers and Astana. Big ask for him to lead the line when he’s got no real experience anywhere other than youth football, irregardless of how much potential he has. Hopefully I’m proven wrong!

Some people said this last season about experience and we signed striker with no championship experience and he did well
