Doesn't make any difference for acquisitions. Sales though I agree, I can very much imagine it would be in our interest to defer incoming funds into the new financial year.
Good point actually. The excel table from yesterday gave a better picture than it should as all big sales are in ‘last’ years accounts. Our PSR number for 25/26 currently stands at £30m p/a in the red. We could do with clawing that back for certain.

As a side issue, and that's what it is, any reference to what's happening (or not) with Patta could/should be posted on Smug's 'Things that aren't worth a new thread' thread to make sure that this transfer thread isn't interfered with.

Thanks in advance :emoticon-0148-yes:
I'll be staying away from that, but good place to put it.

Aye, I’ve mentioned it a few times, probably to the point of repetition, but it wouldn’t surprise me if we see outgoings really pick up from tomorrow onwards.

I'm not going to lie to you Sunderland fans, I don't watch the Eredivisie on a weekly basis and I've never seen Robin Roefs play

But here are some stats about our new signing £9m signing (potentially rising to £11.5m) that you might find useful:

24/25 was his first season as NEC no.1
His NEC side finished 8th, with the 7th best defensive record
His save % of 73% ranked 4th in the Eredivisie, and only 2 goalkeepers kept more than his 10 clean sheets
He "prevented" 9.7 XG... the best record in the Eredivisie. For context in Europe's Top 5 Leagues (which the Eredivisie is not included in), this would have been 6th out of 212 goalkeepers that featured last season
His real USP, appears to be his cross claiming.
He claimed 52 crosses last season, a figure topped by 4 goalkeepers in Europe's Top 5 Leagues (Joan Garcia, Zion Suzuki, Emi Martinez, David Raya).
He claimed 11.2% of crosses into his area. Only 6 goalkeepers could better than in Europe's Top 5 League

Having never seen him play, I'm reluctant to go too hot on this, but this seems, at least on paper, like another really astute pickup!

The lads we want to get out of the club have been coming in at a different time for training etc so I reckon they will be the ones shipped out first if we have found them clubs, wouldn't be shocked to see some released to be honest
