Too much excitement around Xhaka. Im choosing to do a 180 and say "hes probably gonna be ****e". Just to keep the forum going.
What a rush that would be!Would be the most Sunderland thing to do at the mo. We're all awaiting the club announcing Xhaka, later today the club post a scarf picture on twitter about 1530 and post Lucumì first.
Someone has to get in there firstToo much excitement around Xhaka. Im choosing to do a 180 and say "hes probably gonna be ****e". Just to keep the forum going.

He'll probably fail his medical....enlarged heart....or,can't get a work permit as the Swiss won't reveal the whereabouts of the Nazi treasures,or,his Missus will hate Seaburn because Luke's dog keeps pissing up the side of the pushchair,or, he'll do his cruciate in a challenge with Hume in his first training session.

I hadn't seen that tbh, not that I've looked.
I never usually want us to 'go back' for a player but I'd make an exception for Amad.
It's not just that he's a very good player, he genuinely seemed to like the club and would bust a gut if he played.
Might as well live up to your expectationsSomeone has to get in there first
- so they can say "I told you so"
Can anyone enlighten me on how much we roughly have left to spend after the Xhaka deal goes through? I am hoping atleast another 60m (CB, GK, ST) to do, then couple of loans (RW, CB).
I've changed my opinion - apologies you’re not negativeMight as well live up to your expectations

I understand the concern, but I wouldn't dread it. Imo,a CB and a striker are priority now, with a slight caveat over Mundle. I think Mundle was on his way, hence our deal with Lauriente, which was paused owing to Mundle's injury. Not sure what will happen there now. Not saying we shouldn't look to improve the goalie position, but you can say that about every position, and goalies often improve when they have a more solid defence in front of them.Hope we get a keeper in before the season starts plenty of competition for patto dreading going with him and Moore
100% mate - he is the real deal. I am thrilled he is here. He's some player still FT. It will help everyone. As did Waddle, who came a bit too late to save us.
To me he resembles an old fashioned midfielder. A lot is said now about holding guys, ones who attack, this one doing a bit in the middle and so on.
But as you know, not that long ago, midfields had two players in there, and they had to do a bit ( actually a lot!) of everything.
He isn't Keane, or Robson or Bell , but I've always seen him as that type. He always seems to be there when you need him, defending, passing, making, even sometimes scoring.
I wouldn't know where to start looking, but I'd bet those coloured charts they have now show this!
We need a keeper before West Ham. Patto likely won’t be fit for opening gameI understand the concern, but I wouldn't dread it. Imo,a CB and a striker are priority now, with a slight caveat over Mundle. Is Patto's injury more serious.....thought it was just a knock? We need a keeper before West Ham. Patto likely won’t be fit for opening game
a GK and a CH before West Ham needed and a ST before windows shutsWe need a keeper before West Ham. Patto likely won’t be fit for opening game
