Football is changing and the younger lads on here are changing with it, when it comes to stats and data analysis.

The older generation haven’t moved with this and because they don’t understand it, they seem to be pissed off about it and start lashing out at the posters who use it to determine how our own players are doing and any potential future transfers.

It’s such a huge thing in the game now that we will be seeing more and more of it. That’s just the way that the games going.

The all round football knowledge on this board is now better than it’s ever been. I watch a lot of football but don’t have the knowledge that some of these guys have on foreign players and I’m grateful for their input and time they must spend researching before they post on here for all of us.

We’ve now all become so distracted by the bickering that even a good, proper, new Romano link doesn’t get the traction it ought to.

See! We do need the bickering thread haha.

But yeah I think him posting when all the hearts fallout was going on has it swept under the rug a bit. Maybes that's got people up a height a bit too.

Hopefully we hear from someone more reliable on Lucumi tomorrow, more seems to be coming out about it which is positive

Yeah, the most reliable so far has been that Nicolo Schira who said we offered a new €25m package but now they want €28m which was the original release clause that had expired

I just hope Lucumi pushes for it as it might make them make a deal with us as they’ve been looking to sell him since he won’t sign a new deal

It’s not surprising really, as those who post or view this thread joined circa 2019 or later. Mostly came from RTG in order to avoid the chaos over there but some also came to specifically cause issues and spread their negativity.
This forum started in 2011 and there are lots of original members and some new members who still enjoy the banter and chat about our club.
Just looking through the people viewing this thread there are loads without an avatar who never post anything or even like other posts never mind contributing by starting a new thread. Some just visit the transfers threads and don’t even realise that this site also hosts a forum for each club in the football league.
I think some here including me, don’t like the way that the team that have pulled together to give us such a great day out at Wembley and a place in the big league are being trashed or written off without being given a chance.

We had papers saying we wanted 40 million for Jobe and wouldn't budge and dortmund wouldn't pay higher than 20 yet we agreed on 30.
The papers can only report on what the clubs tell them or what the guess at.
I'm sure negotiation are on going and I'm sure different prices have been mentioned between the 2 clubs. Only problem is no one has leaked them to the newspapers yet

I think Italian journalists (nico included) have tried to drive the price up. Saying things like two Spanish clubs interested. Who?

and I think it gets sorted soon
