The last couple of days on here have descended into a Pure Football parody.

For me personally, this place has been a haven from the likes of RTG, Twitter etc. that are cesspits of negatively, point scoring and passive aggressiveness. It would be a real shame if the same became of here.

I’m just hoping the last couple of days have been a blip and we can get back to this place being the friendly, interesting and funny place to read and talk about the lads that it usually is.

And the wages we are offering him is about 4x he's on now so that shouldn't be a problem

I agree. I’ve really enjoyed the thread. I hate dragging myself into arguments but that pissed me off today. Anyway I’m not entertaining it any longer myself. Back to what this thread is about

People post links, they cry that they're just random rumours made up by the media.

People post player analysis, they cry that you're a saddo who has too much time on your hands.

People post non-SAFC news, they cry despite there already being a dedicated SAFC only transfer thread.

Yeah we chose not to pay the release clause because we thought we could strike a deal below that, now that he's seemingly not signing a deal surely he goes somewhere.

Yes i am genuinely interested on it.

Its one thing posting loads ona player we might not sign, but the same analysis on existing players might show old farts like me things we have missed or dont see.

But thats taken as a dig and blown out of all proportion

Is it a full moon or something? Everyone’s appearing somewhat radgy and either taking things personally that would normally be considered within normal discussion parameters or having a pop. We need a signing to cheer everyone up and remind us we’re all on the same side!

The lack of solid transfer news or activity has created a vacuum and this is the ****e that fills it. Makes grim reading.

There’s a couple of fairly dominant (though opposing) cliques on here and they’re both as bad as each other and both equally as lacking in self awareness.

Roll on the next solid link or transfer, for the sake of the team but equally for the sake of this board and some of its posters’ sanity.

I was being sarcastic when I suggested the poster should tell the club.

I was being serious when I suggested doing the same for existing players.

But because as usual anything vaguely questioning is assumed to be a dig, it gets lost and people's back get up

Unfortunately as it was assumed to be a dig at him, I had multiple replies and it got messy and argumentative.

Now as seen above, there is an analysis of patto on this thread apparently, but as its usually page after page of rumours, it probably needs its own thead, but I dare not suggest that as thats probably wrong as well

Friday night was the worst. Was about twenty pages so I was sure there must have been a Romano or Sacha tweet or something amongst it all but nothing at all.
