Both Patterson and Rigg are expected to miss at least Sunderland’s next two pre-season friendlies, meaning the fixtures against Augsburg and Rayo Vallecano could yet be their only appearances before West Ham United visit the Stadium of Light on opening day.
I'm more than confident we have many irons in the fire when it comes to signings. Granted we're all scared from up until recently, extremely tin pot pre seasons and transfer windows. The only teams that are 100 percent ready when it comes to the start of the season are teams like Liverpool and Man City etc.

He missed the last game and work overload was mentioned, now he could be a doubt for the opening game.

I would say we need one and at least 1 cb in next week, we are desperate imo and they will need some time to gel. We only have 3 friendlies after tuesday

We are desperate for a GK and defenders before West Ham like
Not seen the game in any way but he has been taking pelters. I genuinely think he's away. I'm neither his biggest fan or his biggest critic so I won't lose any sleep either way. Maybe try and include him in the Xhaka deal or am I being stupidly optimistic thinking they would even entertain the idea.
