I'm not sure the club are fully set on two mind, from Phil Smith it sounded like we wanted one high-calibre cb and could maybe look for a 2nd. - 16:41 onwards about transfers

work being done on a GK, looking for another winger, at least 1 CB, potentially 2. Looking at a midfielder (Xhaka you'd assume) and potentially a striker

I don’t agree with us only getting one.

it would be mental and I think the club know that too, seelt is proving himself but we haven’t got a single CB at the club proving consistent yet

O9 is injured and if he does it again his career could be over

hjelde and alese have injury problems and not played consistently

seelt is coming back from a major knee injury and hasn’t really played senior football

Ballard has injury problems of his own and also has to prove consistency

if we don’t sign two CBs I’ll be disappointed personally

I've given up guessing. I thought Diakete might be close at the wekeend and earlier this week but would have expected SOME sort of leak by now.

So I still think we could be working on somebody we haven't even been linked to.

Personal opinion is Diakite is close

but yeah we could have anyone in the wings

Where has that come from? he has a dislocated shoulder?

Tbf italian newspapers were on the ball with Lauriente when that broke, we only had a report about a bid being rejected for diakite and Bournemouth pulling out and nothing since

Yeah last we heard was we were intensifying talks, bournemouth pulled out and are going for another cb and Lille signed a replacement

that’s a lot more than we’ve got for Lucumi really

Was it the same shoulder? I genuinely don't know.

Just seems a bit of a stretch to even suggest he might have to retire IF it happened again

We've also been told that Lucumi is our priority, and we are making a new bid close to their valuation, and they have been looking for replacements, and he has said no to a new deal

Regarding a GK, I think Ortega could be a smart move, wants to be a No 1, been at City a while, decent stats, plenty of experience and wouldn't cost a bomb either. No links other than Burnley atm but...
