Think the reason people want 2 CBs, myself included, is o9 is injured at thr minute, unclear when he will be back. Ballard has played 50% or less of our league matches in 2 of our 3 season and Seelt has played 19 senior games in his career. I would want 5 CBs due to that, I'd loan Alese and Hjelde out and keep the rest.

Think we need 3 CFs, I don't think Abdullahi is ready to be relied on our 3rd choice striker.

I'd be surprised if we pay 60 million for 2 CBs , which seems to be the combined value of the 2 favourites on this thread. Seems a massive outlay that to me. One of them plus a loan I could be convinced if we really need to cover 09 while he's injured

Aye. Reasonable that, especially re the injuries to the CBs.

We won't get all of them, but if I thought we could only get say two it would be a CB and CF. Maybe a loan or two on top.

All depends on how big our budget is i suppose

CB is such a key position, it's often where promoted teams go wrong - they'll keep championship CBs in their starting line up and most get totally found out at the next level

Ballard actually had a poor season when he did play last year (obviously that was down to injuries) and Seelt hasn't play anyway enough 1st team minutes for us to know what kind of player he could be

The fact Mepham was our best CB over the season last year and imo he's not PL quality

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I reckon (and I haven't bothered to check the stats) that our most effective CB partnership last season was 09 and Alese. I think we got quite a few clean sheets with them 2.

Aye, Ballard was mixed last season, but was class before. Injuries last season meant he never got back to his best imo.

That's a bloody good budget considering we've already spent 75m (overall)
