Language in Speakman's comments on that definitely sound like he's subtly hinting that Young is expected to play each week
As long as he starts week in week out, they've just signed an experienced GK in Mark Howard so hopefully learn from him
I reckon Young will be going in as 1st choice
think that’s a poor move for him after how poorly they looked after him last time
We and he obviously think he was well looked after.
Not sure we would of sent him back if we thought they treated him poorly tho - just because he didn't play week in week out last season doesn't mean they treated him poorly
The club and Young must be happy with how Salford developed him last season

They were not happy with what happened during that 2 months spell before so would imagine there are proper assurances this time.
My own opinion is we must be close to signing a keeper if they have let Young go.
Think we were hoping it would be a team in a higher division for Young, but it wont be a bad thing to be somewhere he is familiar with. Still so young for a keeper so being a number 1 at League 2 level is fine (think Salford will be targeting playoffs too).
If they mess about with him this time, we'll recall him straight away I think. Big season ahead for the lad.

‘Poorly’ was maybe the wrong turn of phrase but think he should be playing week in week out now at this stage of his development so hopefully he’s had some assurances that he’ll get plenty of minutes

Yeah he can hit the ground running this time there no settling in period and getting used to being away from home - good luck to the lad going to be a top GK I think

I reckon he will start week in week out, he's still so young, especially for a GK so getting taken out for a bit last season might have been exactly what he needed. He finished the season strong with them so definitely think he'll be 1st choice

Hmmm, you will have a better idea than me on this mate, I'm surprised he's gone back there after the way they messed him around last season and I'm hoping that we've got some commitment from them that his game time will be upped but I'd expected that he got a move to at least League 1?
If Liverpool sell Diaz, Nunez, Doak and Elliott...they will be back in for Isak... He will also want to go, his head has been turned
If he got a move to League 1 he risked not playing regularly again.
None of us know the details for why he was dropped mid-season. He may well have completely understood it. It only looks like he was treated badly by us viewing from afar.
Definitely seems in Speakman's language though that he has greater assurances of playing time this year, which he probably couldn't have got a year ago. Which makes sense - he's only Young. (pun intended)
They only need to sell a couple of them to fund it I think.
