Tbf, AFCON doesn’t start for 5 months. Mundle could very easily be back up to full speed by then.
May end up being a blessing in disguise. Lauriente wasn't a convincing PL level player imo. Also older so the higher ceiling to develop is not necessarily there.

I’m not gonna sit and convince myself that lauriente wasn’t that good now he’s not coming. His stats were very solid in a much higher quality league than where we’ve bought from so far bar Adingra.

If it's 8-12 weeks, he can even be eased back in for a month or so before he's needed to start.
I don’t actually feel too down about this one. I trust the club more now than I ever have and if they think we can get better value elsewhere, then they have my support.

He looked a decent player from the videos I saw but we're not a club that will be taken for mugs anymore. Screams of agents playing funny buggers.

I’m sure I read yesterday this was Mundle’s first surgery and that they were doing it because he keeps tearing it, rather than a second surgery?
I liked the look of Lauriente so i'm a bit disappointed, even if I thought he wasn't exactly what we needed. However, I can't complain about us being the ones who have pulled out. If the deal isn't right for us then don't do it.
