The injury does not affect a medical mate, at all, unless it’s something that is a long term problem for the player

so it actually doesn’t change the outcome of the medical

He’s got a serious muscle injury so he isn’t doing any running. I’d still take him mind you

Unfortunately, it was a risk factor given his style of player and physiological makeup, and his legacy issues.

The fact that's it's surgery again, is the most worrying part of all this. The last time he has it, really should have fixed the issue. You don't want to be reattaching fibres, messing about in the belly of one of the hamstring muscles, more than once.

Surgery will mean an absolute minimum of 8-10 weeks. Likely 12.

If I was a different club I wouldn't touch Mundle for a free transfer currently. 3 major hamstring ruptures already. Awful for him but significantly question marks moving forward.

He has 2 years. For me he needs to show he can play a season without his hamstring snapping into pieces before any long term deal is provided.
