Personal term agreed?
Hawkins understands that personal terms would be no issue if Diakité were to move to the newly promoted Premier League club. Sunderland are keen to recruit the Lille defender, and the interest in moving to the English top flight is reciprocated by the centre back. Nevertheless, the Black Cats will have to meet the €40m asking price before any move can take place.

They wouldn't want both and they don't waste money for the sake of it. On the left they'll have Gakpo and Wirtz in some games.

That's what never made sense in the first place, the idea of Ekitike and Isak playing together was odd.

This might actually save face for everyone. Liverpool get Isak, Newcastle get Ekitike, Saudi get Darwin and maybe someone like Harvey Elliott goes to the mags as well. Newcastle claim the win, but Liverpool get everything they want.
Agreed, PIF is the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi, the financial arm of the Saudi government, they could not care less about getting their money back, they want sportswashing and to benefit their state
The money being talked about is peanuts to them
They own 4 clubs in Saudi, they all finished in the top five of the league last year
Oh, the government also own the league(of course)

He’s also said in his article that talks are intensifying with us, if that’s the case then surely we are trying our best to get it tied up asap

hopefully he can get his career on the right track again over there (my national team needs him )

Quite an expensive fee given he's not really showed his quality in the last 2 seasons or so. He did look very exciting when he first came through though so I suppose that does get priced in but I wouldn't have him at that price.
