Same here, Lauriente has been the least buzzing I've been with a signing so far - mainly because I really like Mundle and it just seems he might be coning to replace him
I dont think we would have pushed him out the door, I think there was talk of him being unsettled earlier this year so hoping it's more that and the club doing right by him
Id imagine it would be mate. We were trying to get him a new contract

I'll be disappointed if Mundle goes. Has everything he needs to step up to the PL. Would've been near the bottom of my list to move on but if he (and anyone else) is demanding wages above their station then getting decent money while we can isn't a bad thing.
yeh don’t get me wrong - I think it’s likely Lauriente is a better player than Mundle right now. I just wouldn’t have initiated the switch. I’d liked to have had continuity and seen what Mundle can do in the premier as he possibly has a higher ceiling. (I’m saying this having never watched Lauriente)

Me too mate. Lauriente doesnt quite get my juices flowing. Pace yes and looks well balanced. But Seria B is a really poor level. I do know he has played higher btw but last season was not one to judge, imo anyway.
Mundle would be another mark in the win column for the club though. Market opportunity with Liege in financial trouble, small fee, helped us to promotion, flipped for presumably big profit. The model works.
Maybe Mundle was on that flight from Faro to Newcastle, yesterday (can't remember what day it was?!?!)

agreed but you never know he might get a hatrick at West Ham and not look back.
