Do they have to wait for work permits to come through before they can join us in Portugal given its in the EU? Would assume that's required for international clearance though.

I think,
No issue getting into the country for work. Whether our insurance will cover him without a work permit is another matter.as he is european dont think this will be an issue, just non EU citizens ( Africans etc) will have to apply,

I think Brexit might mean all foreign signings need it now.

Totally agree mate. There isn't any of us with an ounce of common sense who doesn't think that 17th or above will be a significant achievement. I'm looking at this as year 1 of the next phase of the project. The only thing I would add is that I think we've invested heavily in our team management and coaching, which I'm sure is as an important component of the next phase as the players. In the main,we're recruiting young, talented, pacy players for around the £20m level and the instruction to RLB and his newly assembled coaching team will be to get the best out of them to try to keep us in this division.I hate this too ..... I am usually a fully paid up member of the happy clappers, and I am over the moon with the business we have done so far .... but also very realistic as to just how big of a jump it is between the championship and the Premier ..... we are buying €20M players which is great and exciting ..... but every established premier league team is absolutely full of €20-€40M rated players .... we are high on the spenders list because we we so far behind everyone else to begin with ..... Loving that we are showing some ambition and having a go .... but even if we spend €200M .... our squad will be worth what? half the value of most mid table teams??
Its lovely signing players, I hope they all turn out great and the model .... sorry, the AMBITIOUS PROJECT pays off. But honestly still going to be tough as hell to get 17th or above.
