Tbf it's very valid for some to be a bit wary, the deals that have been linked and ended up going on longer haven't happened so far. The ones that have came in, have happened fast with not many links

We don't know which deals were thr oldest though or which ones have been in the pipeline thr longest

Adingra was linked in January so I expect that he was one of the 1st we went after but was the last of the new signings to sign

Time will tell whether we get xhaka or not, I hope we do

Not necessarily.. the problem is someone posts one tweet saying we’re linked with a player and you’ve got people taking it as a done deal straight away, people checking every flight into the airport for the next 3 days, people making “Welcome to Sunderland” YouTube compilations etc.. transfers aren’t always straight forward

Best offer doesn't always mean money though, it'll be what's best for him and his family in terms of playing team, style of play he'll be asked to do, money, contract length, where they'll live, schools for their kids and what gives him the challenge he wants at this stage of his career

Yeh thats why I said I understand why some people get nervous if it goes on for a few days, considering our signings this window have come about so quickly once leaked.

This one has leaked much earlier which is why we all need to be patient.
