I think if we didn’t sign Diarra, FZA would’ve been a cracking Jobe replacement
Something about this feels off to me, it’s too public and doesn’t fit in with the secretive way we have done our business. I think there’s an ulterior motive at play. Possibly related to new contracts for all three of Xhaka, FZA, and Dan Neil.
I mentioned him as a joke when Jobe left and Napoli were linked to a couple midfielders to replace him.... whats really cool is finding out we have been asking about players of that calibre and nobody knows. Just imagine what else is going on.

I tend to agree, re private business by the club, but Xhaka is news, he always was news at Arsenal and the potential of him coming back to the Premier league is big news, so you'd think a few favours may be getting called in to get a little more information than normal to snatch the "exclusive".The fact our owner is a fellow countryman of his could work in our favour too.
