No cricket, no Tour de France and no tennis tomorrow. I need some transfer happenings to help me avoid work.
Guessand is a strange one, when I looked into him more there’s a whole article written up about how he’s an inside forward. Not a proper 9 and not a proper winger. Does his best work in the half spaces, driving at defenders but also has a target man build but doesn’t pull the numbers of a striker.

Rare to actually make a transfer request these days, too much to lose in loyalty payments etc.
He’d leave at the drop of a hat if the right club went for him. The best outcome for us is pry him staying but disappointed at missing a really big move.
I just want him gone. Whilst he’s at the Saudi’s he’ll continue scoring week in week out. Absolutely lethal
He’s a good player like who has had some serious clubs in spurs and Man Utd interested. Not sure I believe his agent offered him to us and it was Turkish media who notoriously talk ****
He doesn't have to hand a transfer request in, just have his agent let it be known he's open for a move.
Requesting a transfer can invalidate parts of a contract, such as bonuses or signing on money, Tommy Sorensen did that to us when he left. He never officially asked for a transfer, despite his agent touting him out and him even saying he was disappointed with his performance at the 2002 world cup because he'd hoped it would put him in the shop window. So when he left he was entitled to signing on money and some performance money he wouldn't have got if he'd asked officially for a transfer. If he wants a move, he can engineer one easily enough.

Probably but he was also going to another event as the club are being given something like a doctorate or whatever businesses get. And I don’t know what he looks like or I might have recognised him.
He was good and everything sounds great for the future, so at the end there was a Q&A session. Some ****in helmet asked after the season RLB has had would the club be backing him, this was after he’d explained we’ve spent nearly £100m with more to come and the 5th biggest spenders so far in the window.

Lammens + Diakite please. Can’t make my mind up on Guessand. Sticking him on the right would be a great way to bulk up the team when that is needed. Him and Mayenda interchanging could be interesting.
