Stats alone are an incomplete picture upon which to judge any players in my opinion. Perhaps more so keepers.

I see no reason why the poster didnt know it was under discussion if he has a good contact. As we were in discussions in Jan it was likely the conversation was picked up again a while ago.
Think about this often! Summed up our recruitment policy, asked to provide a list of potential signings and they walk in with a list of anyone who would be available regardless of if they were what's needed or of they had any hope of signing. Zlatan being on the list should have seen them handed their p45 and told to go blag a living elsewhere!
