I wouldn't want to spend that on Guendouzi to be fair.

I love Wheatsheaf but anyone saying we're trying to sign a player in a position could be completely guessing considering its pretty clear we are more or less looking at players in every position this window.
Likewise anyone saying we are going to sign an English player.

Yeah I would be very surprised if we did. Anyone in that bracket will be going to big and better clubs than us.
At 54 y/o I’d still fancy him to be as good as Patterson.
A £50m signing would be a bit much imo. They'd have to be a huge difference maker for it to be worth it, plus players at that price point will come with wages well outside of our structure. Think we'd be better off sticking to the £20m range.
