This is where our politics becomes the dividing line, I wholeheartedly disagree but that's life.

I think Henderson would be a good signing for the squad for all the reasons listed a bunch of times, but perhaps the biggest impact he would make is the subtle and unsaid political one. Sunderland and Hendo, a match made in heaven?

My cousin is Sunderland born and bred, she often gets to the match while I no longer do, she's also married to a woman and she really doesn't like him. No getting past that for me.

It's pretty unusual, in fact I can't remember it ever happening, for a journalist to publicly say they know about a deal but can't report on it.

They're usually a bit cleverer with their language, such as "deals in the pipeline".
I guess when the likes of Sacha are doing fan podcasts and 'lifting the veil' on things like reporting embargoes etc there's no point in the likes of Keith maintaining the pretence...

I was massively against Hendo, but I think we the midfield signings we’ve made I wouldn’t be against it now

I'd be really pleased if its Henderson. Demands instant respect in that dressing room and will bring calm and experience and we've surrounded him with legs and ability in the middle. Still think we need a big mobile tank in there for variety as well personally but it will be interesting to see how it pans out.

I guess it depends on journalistic integrity and if his employers have a code or policy about reporting on embargoes.

Not that this is likely an official embargo, its probably a polite request only.

Really? Seems a weird thing to say as well, pretty sure players can train but not play without a work permit

They can't "work" until they have work permits. So training is included.

Of course that's the official line. Much like Ghisolfi didn't "work" for us until he got his permit

Diarra and Sadiki will be training and home office don't need to know :D

Can join in for a kickabout though haha, already been people talking about how sadiki looks in training.

This isn't the time or place for this kind of debate, anywhere online never is in my opinion, but being gay isn't or shouldn't be a legitimate identity, you have a partner of whatever type, it shouldn't define you, I'm also sure you can take a wage from a boss that doesn't align with your values, that's how I view Hendo.
