He was talking in terms of Talbi and Petrovic being already done and that it was 8-9 more beyond them. No mention of Reinildo.

It looks as though Reinildo and Talbi are done. If....a big if....we can get Mika/Albine and Petrovic in with a minimum of delay, then focus will shift pretty quickly to a quality centre back. Aside from a possible Lauriente....which I'm not sure about.....I would think we'd be more or less where we wanted to be. Don't see another 8 or so coming in.

Really want to see ELF play deeper this season. I don’t think he worked particularly well as a 10 for us thus far.

Current first team squad of 36 assuming the two imminent ones are done. Will need to shift 20 players to get down to a sensible squad size if the 8-9 more is actually true.

Edit: it’s tougher than you think to identify those 20 departures.

yeh the sheer volume of outgoings needed, either loan or permanent, is insane. Feels overwhelmingly large to me and I'm not even the one who has to do it. I'm amazed we've only had one outgoing so far.

Well,I'll bow to your greater knowledge marra......but that indicates an almost total squad change....which I was not expecting. Time will tell.

A bit of playing chicken with prospective buyers maybe. How much do other clubs want our players v how badly do we want to shift them?

Good to see Aouchiche get a decent move as the first of those.

We were already a bit light in the wider squad I think. It wouldn't be surprising if we bulk that side out over the summer after getting the first teamers sorted out.
