- Firstly said we will make 8/9 more signings.

- he says he’s never seen anyone like KLD at his age. Says he’s so intelligent, even with all his money ‘sitting on billions’ he uses the money the premier league gives him to enhance the club and transfers.

- says KLD knows he needs league experience but hints at them still being younger players who can ‘go for even more money next year’

- Says petrovic is close to being finalised. He says it’s not a case of the player now it’s between Chelsea and Sunderland to agree the fee. Says the player is waiting for the deal to be closed. Believed the narrative was pushed that the deal was not advanced because we wanted to work on it and get it closed quietly. Says he isn’t surprised by this as he broke the news early.

- Says KLDs phone call with Talbi went really well. Player is happy with the project and what is happening here whilst also understanding he will not be the only player coming in his position.

- Mentions a number 10 and a LW as two positions were looking at.

- Says Ghisolfi is important and has been given the key.

From what he said, if Petrovic ends up going elsewhere it's partly his fault!

Broke it far earlier than the club would have wanted was the implication.

I guess if he is privy to as much as he makes out then he'd be able to piece it together from conversations he's having with people.

For example he said he has a source in Talbi's camp (his agent no doubt) and mentioned that KLD had spoken directly to Talbi to sell the club to him, you'd assume the plans for how many we're looking to bring in and what sort of calibre we're targeting would form part of that.

Also sounded like Talbi knows he will have competition too

Am I right in thinking that he said a lot of this stuff is embargoed in the UK? If so, I didn't know that - I wonder if he means officially (through the courts or whatever the due process would be) or whether it's just the way the game works over here, unwritten rule/gentlemens' agreement etc.
 
I'll feel better when a second source is as confident - maybe an update from the Guardian or the Mirror as they were ones who were positive about it earlier

glad to hear we are targeting 8-9 more incomings. It was needed and I’m glad the club aren’t ****ing around

I still wouldn't count your chickens - still nothing to stop another club (say Bournemouth) coming in and meeting Chelsea's demands and being equally as appealing to Petrovic.
