Don’t want to sound like a bed wetter etc but I genuinely am concerned about all our signings being African in a season where the AFCON covers a fifth of the season.
Well 1/5 or 1/12 if the country gets grouped, but 4/4 signings without le fee is an interesting strategy for sure.

Although Sadiki didn't get the latest congo call up.

Most premier league sides will lose a few to AFCON so it’ll even out to an extent and give natural opportunities to our squad. Despite the big fees we also may not see all as first choice either. ( although I suspect we will)

****ing hell shock that

mental how much hes dropped off mind
Aye. When a player is so reliant on pace the drop off is dramatic when that pace goes.

In fairness to him, he kept it longer than most, but at the Euros last year the signs were there. One or two players just ran past him who, a year before would have been mopped up easily.

Might be a help in other ways, maybe in the middle, but that will be a hefty wage going out on him.

Someone can correct me, aren't Eddie howes brexit mags the only team with no African players?

Definitely a slight concern, the club will surely have a plan for that. They've clearly targeted players with both short and long term in mind

There was talk of moving the AFCON to the summer. Maybe that will happen down the line as it is certainly a factor to consider when signing players

2 very good goals, shocking defending for Atalanta's goal lol

He also looks like that prick Curtis Jones. I'm out....

In all seriousness, as you say two decent finishes but would have copped some flack for that abysmal defending for the goal.

With the defending, he's in the right positions but isn't aggressive enough so that'll be worked on

Looks an exciting prospect this lad. Can play of both sides and has that natural pace from a standing start that can really hurt defenders 1v1.

Not wanting to come across negative in any way. Him and Sadiki, in my opinion, are risk / reward signings. Could be great this season, or could need some time on the coaching pitch. Diarra and Reinaldo should be good to go. Would like our next links to be one or two safer pair of hands if that makes sense? Just looking for those players that are going to churn out 7/10 every week without fail. Somebody like a Cresswell would suit me perfectly.

Does that put paid to Lauriente? I would kinda hope that if we get another winger it’s a left footed one, assuming this lad joins.

Depends what profile they want for the other winger.

assuming this guy signs we have:

Left wing - Mundle + new signing
Right wing - Talbi + Roberts

the new signing could be a left footed left winger or right footed left winger

I’m greedy. Personally I’d be selling Roberts and signing three new wingers not two.

to replace Watson, Roberts and Poveda
