I thought the 'KLD is a penny pincher' brigade would've shut up by now. Guess not.
How can anybody think we aren't spending money? If anything we're on the riskier side of spending too much.
I thought we'd be a lot more "sensible" this window. Thats not to say the signings havent been sensible as they have. I just didn't think we'd be blowing our transfer record by so much so soon.

I only want players here who want to be here for thr right reasons, been a massive reason why we’ve ended up in this position. Of course we’ll get turned down a lot this summer because it feels like we’re targeting higher profiles, but I’ve got faith in them that’ll they get what we need.

Considering we’ve spent £69m already this window and are bidding for multiple players for €20m a pop
My gut agrees with this but I'm in no way "expecting" it. I'm probably 60/40 in favour of him coming here.

I’m not saying he comes here just we’re currently clearly leading according to reports so far
Fab might feel burned in talking about keepers and Sunderland so may leave it to its actually done before saying anything.
I reckon therefore we may get something from the Guardian or the Athletic or Sky first.
Stewart money was spent last summer
so Jobe, Clarke and Watson money was about £50 million.
So far we’ve spent £60 million plus the £15 million pending for the new lad from Belgium, so the money from those sales and purchases have left us with a net spend of £25 million, so not unspent at all.

Club wealth and owner wealth aren’t the same thing
this. amazing how many fans of all clubs can't differentiate this.
KLD has been pretty clear throughout that the club will only spend what it can afford. He seems to put his own cash into capital and infrastructure projects, not the playing side.
