The way stuff was reported yesterday about Petrovic was quite odd. It started with the Belgian(?) journo following up on the Sadiki info saying the deal was close, then Mike McGrath saying the same. We then had Keef telling us we were in talks but not advanced, followed by a load of other journos sayin we were either in talks or that we'd just enquired. Seemed there were some mixed messages going round.
I keep going back to the journo who broke it though - even if he had just heard a rumour or got crossed wires, why would he explicitly state that we've agreed a fee of 25m and offered the lad a 5 year contract? I'm holding out hope that his info is correct and the other reports were from the club just being cautious and managing expectations after the Bulka disappointment. Fingers crossed anyway
