As with most newspapers The Northern Echo is a shadow of it's former self, and has never been up with news about us.
Off topic mind, but, it wasn't always so!
In fact, The Northern Echo was once the biggest selling provincial newspaper in the country. It had a very large readership, going well into Yorkshire and we'll up into County Durham.
It also had a strong record of campaigning journalism, setting the trend for some nationals. It even managed to get a pardon, posthumously I think for a bloke convicted of murdering his wife. Harold Evans was it's editor at it's height before he went and did the same job at The Times . It was a decent read up until about the middle eighties, miles ahead of the others

Over 200K followers but 90% are Turkish and he’s not followed by a single worldwide journalist. If he was a genuine journalist they would as it would be correct information
He just posts YouTube videos with his ‘ITK’ almost every day
In the same video he says how sommer and ter stegen are also targets. And the story broke yesterday of perri wanting to join them too
He’s not a journalist like those from the guardian or sacha for example.
