Of course the ambitious project would convince Petrovic, I can see why we might want to try strike a deal under their 30m target.

Sunderland, Bournemouth interested in Petrovic
Latest from Sky Sports News' Kaveh Solhekol, Mark McAdam and Keith Downie:

Sunderland and Bournemouth are among multiple clubs in Europe interested in signing Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic.

Chelsea value the 25-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Strasbourg, at around £25m.

Sunderland and Bournemouth are both likely to sign goalkeepers this summer.

If it is the club pouring cold water on it to cool things down, its a little surprising they've not used Romano.

So maybe all those other people are just behind. Who knows.

Was looking at free transfer CFs earlier and I wondered about taking a risk on Luka Jovic, strong CF who has played at a high level but needs to be loved - feel RLB is the man for that and we are the club for him

I mentioned Jovic earlier, would have worked with our new assistant at Milan so wonder if he is a target

Talks are not as advanced for Petrovic as they are for Saint-Gilloise midfielder Noah Sadicki, who is expected to join the club in €20 million deal in the coming days. Sadicki is having a medical on Wednesday afternoon and is expected to sign a five-year deal at the club. Sunderland expect significant competition for Petrovic from both within the Premier League (Sky Sports report that Bournemouth are keen on a deal) and from Europe's top divisions.
