Downie the thick twat, knew the mags were facing an uphill battle as he favoured Chelsea. “Newcastle made a great offer, but they now concentrate on players who want to play for the club”. As opposed to making a great offer for one that didn’t

Unfortunately I think he’s going to take the Saudi blood money.

If he does, he would rather have the Saudi coin than play in a competitive league and play for Poland in a World Cup.

Saudi have ruined football once and for all.
thinking the same hopefully it over either way soon

Can absolutely see the appeal of the Saudi money, such a short career make the money while you can it’s also a chance for generational wealth, that being said anyone who chooses to spend their peak years there doesn’t have the attitude we want in players here now so if he goes there no skin off my nose

Laughable that the Mags go on like this. I dont mean all of their following, but a lot of them will make excuses. If you are struggling with a certain market/demographic, switch it up. You cant tell me the Mags CANT improve if they don't sign Premier League proven players. These are the types they seemingly want. Trafford again, if they want to pay over 35 million, is that wise? They bid huge for Guehi, is that wise? They wait for Pedro to say no? Is that wise?

I hate it as well but I also think the PL has played its part in where football is today - the money in the PL started to ruining football

My favourite is when their fans keep spouting off about not needing to sell anyone cos they’re git rich then in the next sentence whinging about PSR. If they sold Isak for £150m they could probably go and drop £250m instantly but they think they’re too big to sell a player :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I’m not even going to get into this AI convo. I’m far too passionate about it. I’m a video editor full time and some of the things I’ve seen it do in my field is outrageous. Not the thread for it but society will not be the same if it ever reaches AGI (it likely already has)

I think Keef should f**k off focus on Newcastle. He said we weren't news worthy when we were in league one, so he can take his plastic mag attitude and get f**ked.

The amount is not specified. Note that Sunderland is pushing to thwart the transfer. #OGCNice

My mate has done his whole lvl 6 HNC in engineering (I think) with chat GPT, got a very good job anarl - using Harvard referencing. I said surely the assessor knows you’re A) from Washington and B) thick as pigs **** in school so it’s unrealistic that you’re using terminology of people who are actually very intelligent. Apparently not.
Well if it's a very good job in the private sector, he will likely get found out pretty quickly when he gets flung in the deep water. AI won't help him when the brown stuff starts flying and the pressure is on!. Depends on what he is doing mind, but in my world, a dodgy engineer stands out like a very sore thumb.

Keeping the diversion going for a sec, I genuinely view ‘intelligence’ as a misnomer. It can’t reason. It can’t apply context. It’s pattern recognition. There’s definitely a world where it’s useful to do the grunt work that humans don’t like, but it’s miles away from being trusted with consequential decision-making.

Back on topic, any new links this evening Cam lad?:emoticon-0102-bigsm

I'd just assumed you were a transfer bot that had somehow gained sentience mind. ;)

I see Jhon Duran wants away already.. who’s going to match the ridiculous wages he’s been offered over there? Truth be told, I hate absolutely everything they stand for over there they’re horrible but if someone said to me work in Saudi for 2 years for 4x your salary I’d probably be off because it would give me financial freedom for the rest of my life.

But if I was a footballer doing what I loved and I backed myself, there’s not a chance I’d be going to Saudi and Duran’s age. He’s set his development back years playing there when he could’ve went to Chelsea and picked up £150k a week no problem.
Money isn’t everything and Duran has proved that he’s made a mistake

A mag at work was saying "why would Isak want to go to Liverpool", I said "Because its Liverpool. "Aye well he's loved heeya and we've got Champions leeeague", I said "Yes, but its Liverpool. "A knar, but he could stay at Nyecastle and become a legend", "Yeah, but he owes you nothing and you're not Liverpool", after that you could see he started buffering and lost connection in his mind. Meanwhile, we're signing player who's last manager got David Beckham send off 27 years ago tomorrow.

all the money going now on No 21...

Newcastle have dodged a bullet with Pedro as far as I’m concerned. Massively overpriced. And not sure any player joining Chelsea cares about how much football they play versus how much they’re getting paid and how long their contract is
He’ll be on his way out on loan by January
