None of that contradicts what I was saying tbh. Already took it into account. We get £10m annual losses from our champ seasons plus £40m losses from our prem one. Yes we probably made a profit in 24/25 (won't be £40m as fishflaps says, though - more like £25m since we 'naturally' ran at a circa £10m loss). Give or take, that would mean an allowable loss of around £60m to keep us inside the £60m or so 3 year rolling limit. However, we don't want to go to the maximum next season, as this may then reduces our allowable loss for the following season. It would certainly clobber us if we make it to season three, though, once the profit of 24/25 drops out of the calc.

i think I follow you. Thanks for explaining. If I’m understanding right, that means we would have an incentive to spend before 30 June, rather than after. Best to spend in the current window, reduce that profit closer to zero. Should be an interesting week ahead

I don't know for sure, but I imagine that the effect of spending ahead of the end of month is relatively negligible since it will be amortised over the length of the contract. The immediate effect tends to happen the other way (on sales) since they are realised in the accounts immediately. That's why we've seen mini-firesales and dubious youth player swaps in advance of the end of June. Also worth pointing out that our end of accounting period is 31st July, so we're a little out of sync.

Could we sign that Bischoff as a more long term prospect. Bring him in and let him adapt with him being in and around he squad
