Unless he’s suddenly found some bottle and a bit of fight then Ekwah has no chance over here.
QPR away killed him

That'll be why they've gone to ****
Totally forgot
He did but I’m sure it’s also a city group club and he’s worked with them a whileBig Lee only came in a December and according to SSN kept them up as interim manager and got the gig full time now
For those wanting to give Ekwah a chance - have you seen the intensity in the PL?! He couldn’t be arsed in the championship.
Have you seen him play recently, or is your opinion based off season before last?Ekwah is a waster unfortunately - poor poor mentality, not serious enough
Also doesn’t have the tactical discipline to operate in the modern game, especially not under a coach like Le Bris, especially not in a season like we are going to have next season in the Prem
Reminds me of Daryl Murphy in the way that he shirks physical battles and going up for headers (SWP, anyone?). Murphy toughened up a lot later in his career and became a decent target man. Ekwah could toughen up but it might take a few years as well.If Ekwah added that edge to his game he would be exactly what we want, cause he’s got the rest of the attributes to be a great player
Based off this season gone in pre-season and how quick RLB was to get rid of him and barely use himHave you seen him play recently, or is your opinion based off season before last?
Those thoughts will be based on his performances from the season before last when he was heavily blamed for the 2nd goal. No one showed up in that game.I'm not even arsed if ekwah is somehow as good as the Twitter experts have decided, he said he doesn't feel like a sunderland player anymore and feels at home in France.
Don't want him jumping back on board now that we're in the premier league, he can go doss about in another French relegation battle. I want players who'd give everything to play for the club.
Not at all, they're based on his interview over in France where he said he doesn't see himself as a sunderland player anymoreThose thoughts will be based on his performances from the season before last when he was heavily blamed for the 2nd goal. No one showed up in that game.
Agree, but what the stats are saying, I've asked if anyone has seen any of his games recently, not recounting interviews from 2024... he could have developed. I'll let RLB be the judge of that.My concerns with Ekwah are nothing to do with my opinion and everything to do with how quickly he was discarded by RLB. I don't care what my opinion is of a player is our manager doesn't rate them.

Could it be the case it’s one price for them as they have been picking off Nantes best players recentlyYou must log in or register to see media
well, that's killed any deal
Sure he still shoots from 30 yards instead of looking for a pass around the box, he still doesn't really tackle anyone which isn't what you'd expect as the defensive midfielder in a relegation side.Agree, but what the stats are saying, I've asked if anyone has seen any of his games recently, not recounting interviews from 2024... he could have developed. And possibly even better again with Henderson motivating him in trainingWhat I will say though is that, to me, Ekwah would be better than Henderson on the pitch.
Ekwah, along with all our other loaned out players, will have been regularly watched and assessed during last season,so that RLB,despite not having worked with them for any length of time, will have a good idea of their capabilities. If any have impressed, when we return to training, think it will be a matter of sitting down with them to discover their aims, ambitions and general attitude to joining the squad for what is bound to be a very demanding season.Ekwah is a likeable lad but you're spot on. The desire and togetherness the team showed in getting us promoted was phenomenal. It would be no good if any player was getting carried, in terms of commitment.
Disagree myself, he's really not as bad as you make out imo. Especially considering Ekwah probably wishes he had an ounce of Henderson's drive and football IQWhat I will say though is that, to me, Ekwah would be better than Henderson on the pitch.
