Sounds like Villarreal really don't want to sell at any price, but there's got to be a point where you can't refuse.

Rather Moyes not ruin one of my favorite strikers though.

I'm not even arsed if ekwah is somehow as good as the Twitter experts have decided, he said he doesn't feel like a sunderland player anymore and feels at home in France.

Don't want him jumping back on board now that we're in the premier league, he can go doss about in another French relegation battle. I want players who'd give everything to play for the club.

With Ekwah he just seems to be so laid back. It’s as if he is only operating at 75%, and he knows he can step it up. The problem is getting him to do it. Maybe the tougher challenge in the Premier league will bring that out of him. Definitely worth seeing how he shapes up in pre season. The penny must drop with him that if he pulls his finger out he could have a great career in England. Fingers crossed eh?

Ekwah is a likeable lad but you're spot on. The desire and togetherness the team showed in getting us promoted was phenomenal. It would be no good if any player was getting carried, in terms of commitment.

If I see one more tweet about ekwahs numbers

someone go find his sprints and distance covered, I bet you they’re poor

had been told Mark could be hostile. I had been told that, to put it mildly, he was not a fan of the written media. He is far from alone in that, of course, but I still thought it was worth a try. I write critical things about players now and again. It’d be nice to redress the balance.

It turned out it wasn’t my best idea. Maybe a few hours before the biggest match of his elder son’s life was not the right time to approach someone with misguided attempts at ingratiation.

I went down to where Bellingham’s dad was sitting and introduced myself. I said my bit about how much I admired his son. ‘Which son?’, he said. This was not, I knew immediately, going to end well.

‘I’ve got two sons, you know,’ Mr Bellingham said, voice dripping with disdain. He had gone from nought to angry in five seconds flat. His younger son, Jobe, who is carving out a fine career of his own at Sunderland, was sitting in front of him.

I apologised and said I had meant his elder son and that it was a stupid mistake. ‘Yeah, it was a stupid mistake,’ Mr Bellingham said. ‘A lot of people make that mistake and it really p****s me off.’

Fair enough. And I should have sloped off at that point, defeated. But, instead, I dug my hole a little bit deeper. I told him my best mate had been taught French by Mr Bellingham’s dad at Southend High School for Boys in the 1980s and that he was one of his favourite teachers. True story.

to be fair to mark Bellingham

as a parent it’s hard to balance

He has two sons and Jude was well more in the limelight at one point, he’s arguably right and to focus on both sons equally despite one being older and obviously more development is testament to good parenting

Ekwah is possibly the most frustrating player i've seen in a SAFC shirt. Very likeable lad who did loads for the foundation, has all the tools you need to be a modern day defensive or box to box midfielder (height, covers ground quickly, excellent technical ability) but he rarely puts it all together. He wouldn’t fit in a RLB midfield because he won't put the graft in.
