I understand this is the modern game but I'd be cautious about these lads shopping themselves around, we used to sign these sorts of players under Ellis Short.

I can't say for sure but I reckon agents of loads of players are continuously doing this, we just don't get exposed to it.

I’d still be tempted to ask Brighton what their price is for Lamptey despite him signing a new deal

A decent age, plenty PL experience, absolutely rapid and versatile with being comfortable on both sides

He's someone we clearly admire, been after him for a good few windows now
Will be well known to RLB too due to being in that league, but also a former Rennes player. He came through the youth setup there just after Isidor by the looks of it so probably has crossed paths with him in the same way he had with Wilson.

Aye, I think i'd prefer this lad over vanat tbh
Impressed by a lot of that. Not a big lad but looks very strong. Decent finishes - strikes the balls nicely. Movement and balance look good to my untrained eye.

(Quick edit there as thought I was watching Stassin for some reason!)

It’s just the sheer arrogance of online commentators that always gets me. Borussia Dortmund have a track record that suggests they might know what they’re doing a bit and might have a bit of an eye for a player but yet you’ve got Dave from Sollihull confidently proclaiming, based on the three times he’s seen him this season, that Jobe is ****e, not half the player Rudoni is, and that Dortmund are paying twice what he’s worth just because he’s Jude’s brother.
I couldn't give a toss what people think of Jobe, they will be proven wrong.
It's the perfect scenario for both parties, if Jobe stayed I don't think we are in the right position for him, and personally don't think that's who we need right now.
I know that might sound harsh but I don't think he would be one of the PL stand out players just yet if he'd stayed with us.
He is going to a league where he will be a stand out player, playing with the best players in the league.
The money we have raised from his sale will allow us to buy a replacement who right now is a better player than Jobe, maybe not in the future but right now.
That's exactly what we need, if we can survive the next 2 season I think that's when the model really starts to flourish
