it’s just my opinion. They’re quite methodical about the progression and career paths of the kids and if they’ve decided it’s time to move I think they’ll do everything they can to make it happen.

they’ve chosen the club they want and it’s been quite public. I think as far as they’re concerned he’s a Dortmund player one way or another

Whoever you mean by ‘they’ -
They really, really aren’t in charge.
IF there is a £40m buy out in the contract, then that’s the fee. Simple really, unless WE agree to less. That’s fact
Opinion is that unless he’s the best actor ever to exist, I’m convinced Jobe loves it here.
He’ll not be throwing a hissy fit if he stays to play in the Premier League.

ok let’s see if he goes for 40m euros or stays with us. I’d be shocked if either of those happened

maybe not in person but I can see stuff about him being disappointed / angry / frustrated leak into the media

Jobe is a cracking lad and a professional. It's irrelevant anyway because he will be going to Dortmund, the media stuff is just all part of strengthening their position for negotiations.

In reality there is only 3 things that have happened:

1) We have given permission for Jobe to speak to other clubs.

2) Dortmund have made a bid for Jobe.

3) We have rejected that bid.

All the back and forth is just media nonsense.
