I think you can get away with someone smaller as long as they cover ground like its nobodys business and consistently win tackles and intercept passes - but would then want a bigger player as the 8 to replace Jobe.

But I think I also would lean more towards a big bastard 6 and an energetic 8 that carries the ball well and contributes goals and assists..... Lets see if Riggy fills out over the summer.
That was my thoughts when I said big 6. I like the 6 in the prem to just cover ground and be dominant on the floor and the air to then have the 8s being energetic in RLBs system. I think Enzo will be our 8 and he’s perfect for it. To then got and sign a more creative number 8 for the Rigg role

You know what

a dominant 6 and two 8s of ELF and gus hamer is calling to me.
Speakman do the job two hard working 8s who are equally creative whilst a big bastard behind them cleans up

I am moved

Yeah I have been debating the idea of a number 10 or just a more solid 8 that creates and scores to replace Riggy, i think whatever you can get thats close to the De Bruyne archetype is ideal.... but not exactly many of those about. I am sure the next KDB is available for sub £20m somewhere..... right :emoticon-0102-bigsm?

Wonder if Triantis to Hibs permanently looks more likely now. Not sure a third year of being loaned out is great for him but likewise he could be very handy coming in if we do get relegated.

Tall quick wingers on either wing are my priority weirdly. I trust the defence and midfield will sort itself out but the wingers are harder to get. Although Speakman makes it his speciality :D

Anything less than our record transfer I think would be too low for jobe. Need to make the most of selling a player like him, not easy to find them.

I still think Hamer is a bit small at 5'6 with Le Fee at 5'8, but would like him playing wide left as he can track back and be solid if we move into a compact 4-4-2

I would loan him to a top championship team - think we'd quickly see if he can cut it or not

And I mean this truthfully. And I can’t believe I’m saying it considering where he was a year ago. But I’d have absolutely no problem with Mayenda being our main striker. I think his ability to turn and carry the ball at pace and power is going to be key for us getting up the pitch in the premier

Unlikely, depending on what we would want

I reckon we would want over 2 million and I don't think Hibs could afford that

While it is slightly cherrypicked data and you have to consider context, its certainly a good start.

All this talk about Jobe’s family not wanting him to play in the Premier League.
Had we not been promoted we may well have kept him for another year.
Funny game.

Whatever he chooses, good luck, he’s been good for us and if he goes it’s with our goodwill.
Literally 0 chance
