I am not saying this is fact, it's from a French agent based in Birmingham.
He claims the deal for Jobe is no where near the figures being bandied about.
He claims, [not me] it's about £18 million.
Do not punish the writer.

I believe it, players going from the Championship to the Premier League rarely hit the £20m mark, as good as he is, he is not a world beater yet, whomever takes him has a lot of work to do, to make him into a world class player.

Id believe bidding starts at £18m. But with so much interest in him, we’d be mental to accept the first bids.

My only nagging doubt is that we do seem to want to do what’s best for the players even when selling, and we may have agreed verbally with Jobe and his family about what we’ll accept and when

We paid £3m for him and Birmingham have a sell-on probably at 30%, If we get £18m you're looking at more than £10m profit, I'll let you decide if that's a good deal or not.

it’s a good deal. £20m profit is an even better one. Let’s see how much interest materialises

If we sell for lets say 25m but have 15% sell on. Birmingham get their cut. If we sell for 20m but have 20% sell on we get more

Jobe will probably get us that upfront I'm hoping

As for Sam Greenwood, cant see him ever back here, hes on ridiculous money at the minute, probably as much as Le Fee.

I said 23m in Jan and I think it will be that (or close too) Man U still massively interested as are others across the continent. I would be happy with 23m mind. Fair.
Id take it, but now in a situation where multiple big clubs are willing to pay it ... Surely one of them pulls the emergency fiver out their sock.

I mate. Auctions have a strange vibe to them. Who knows. He has the name, performances and awards this year. Could jump go anything.

What’s a shame for me is that it now seems Jobe is going to be away even if we get promoted. I had really hoped to see him step up with us because after a season in the premier league he could be getting sold for 40-50

I think he stays if we get promoted. Just people are circling incase

If Jobe goes, I’m more interested in putting in a sell on clause than looking at the fee.

20% for him would be ideal, especially if he keeps on continuing and regularly plays for a team like Leipzig.
