Quick Player Profile: Matej Sin (AM)
- 5'11
- 20 years old
- Recently capped for Czechia
- 21 games 7 goals 4 assists for Banik Ostrava
Having started almost every game for the last 2 seasons now the 20 year old has clearly made an impression on the national team coaches to make his debut at such a young age. Playing as a 10 or on the right wing he has bags of pace and I feel he would slot in nicely in Le Bris' system for a few reasons:
- In possession he can drop in to receive the ball but likes to make attacking runs and slot in next to the striker almost identical to how we ask Rigg to play.
- He is adapt at playing one touch passes in and around the box under pressure which is something I feel has been missing from out attack with seemingly no sense of urgency once we get around the opponents area.
- Has a fantastic eye for a pass and should have 4/5 more assists but the quality of finishing is pretty poor in the side.
- Would hopefully add both creativity and goals to our midfield which is a clear gap for the squad.
- His pace would add an extra dimension to our attacks and open up more space for Isidor/Mayenda who currently have no penetrating runs from either Rigg or Jobe to disrupt the oppositions defensive shape.
- Most importantly for me, he doesn't dawdle in possession and take 4 touches when he only needs 1, everything is done with purpose and he executes high difficulty passes with high frequency.
- With how progressive he plays its fantastic to see he ranks 10th in the world for u21 attackers in progressive pass accuracy with 87% success rate - comparable to PSG's Desire Doue and Monaco's Ben Seghir.
Of course the standard of league is probably lower than what we currently play at, but as discussed early today in this thread we will probably need to look abroad if we want to be able to find affordable players with the required level of ability to kick us on. I would like to caveat this by saying that i feel having a core of English/UK players is pretty important as we want the midfield to be a cohesive unit and communication is massive. Not necessarily the best option out there but wanted to highlight one of several players that we could potentially look at to more suit the system Le Bris clearly favours but has had no option to play.

seriously I think he and Cirkin for another are still way over rated by many.
