Jobe was a waste of a shirt many times last season, not sure that’s been the case with Rigg, although he has dropped off massively due to too much playing time

Defo has been in my opinion like mate. Feels like we’ve had a man less in midfield at times. He’ll be a better player for it I’m sure but we’ve suffered because of it. Start of the season he was top drawer we should’ve managed his minutes better when we had players returning from injury so we’ve got the lad firing again going into the run up to the play offs.

My impression is,watching both Jobe and Riggy,in the second half of the season,in contrast to the first half, both have failed to produce anything near their best.
I'm no coach or tactician, but I'd love to know why.

Think that’s a fair assessment mate. Fatigue surely to be the answer. Obviously you have other teenagers who’ll play every minute and be fine ie Yamal for arguments sake but he’s a winger in a team that dominate the ball. He won’t do anywhere near as much running as a CM in a team that aren’t bothered about having the ball. Those 2 do a lot of running in the middle and it’s a physical league.

Yep,you're right...I get the argument it's a physical league.but...I wonder how much of the tiredness we see is mental?
So I guess I'm suggesting mental fatigue,as well as the physical?
@Prehab26 Is this something to deal with?

I'd have given the Spurs bid for Rigg a separate thread.

Talking to a spurs fan, they are after a wide right player to replace Brennan Johnson

Yes. I have mentioned it loads on here. Mental overload is really common in young players and when it happens it ultimately effects decision making and consistent physiological output. Not sure which game it was but it was fairly recent but Rigg was done and hooked around 55 mins after not being able to complete basic fundamental movement and decisions.

It's a tough one as they need time to develop to be better next year but it's also a fine line. That also doesn't even look at the short term impact on term performance and results.

£37 million and he'd be gone.

That's roughly our club turnover doubled in one hit.

Absolutely. At this moment in time though, I would be extremely confident that that figure is pie in the sky. Be surprised if we are offered half of that at the moment.

Think that’s pretty bang on mate. Might’ve been Hull game you’re on about, remember he chased a ball down and ended up just falling forward over himself. Looked knackered

The transfer window is totally ludicrous imo. For our leagues,it should be done and dusted well before the season starts,so each team can register its'players and go into preseason from there. If the Europeans don't like it,,,they can **** off and trade their players after our window closes to their hearts content...silly fools.

Would like it to open the day after the season ends and close the day before the new one starts, will never happen like

Edit also be unfair on people in the clubs who get zero break so probably an unreasonable suggestion in hindsight

Remember that, was right in front of the me

Do feel he’s been poorly managed this season.

Don’t think he’ll get the same about of leeway he’s had at Liverpool because he’s a local lad mind. Wouldn’t be surprised if Ancelloti improves him though, great manager and wouldn’t be signing him if he didn’t think otherwise.

I think its a season too early for Rigg to make such a move but he only has a short contract and if they offer good money, which I think they will, its probably going to happen.

I think the amount he'll go for is around £30m. I know some have said it will be less because he's had a bad second half of this season, but those clubs aren't buying him on form, they're buying his potential.

And the more clubs willing to pay £30m the better, as somebody will have to go higher to get him.
