Mayenda got a few pictures on his Instagram of him from last season, hoping it's because he's agreed to a new deal to stay for even longer but it's probably just him excited to be back training this week
FC Lorient could lose one of its key players, Arthur Avom Ebong , whose contract expires in a year. The 20-year-old Cameroonian midfielder has already attracted the attention of several European clubs, including Liverpool , Chelsea, West Ham and Bournemouth, as revealed exclusively by Africafoot . Avom made 32 appearances last season, scoring two goals and providing six assists, helping Lorient gain promotion to Ligue 1. His former manager, Régis Lebris, who is now in charge of Sunderland FC, has taken note of his performances and is keen to acquire his services. According to information confirmed by reliable sources to the Africafoot editorial team , Sunderland are in advanced discussions with Lorient to sign Arthur Avom Ebong. The club is ready to offer a four-year contract to the player, who seems open to a departure this summer. If the deal is concluded, Arthur Avom will take a significant step forward in his career. With an estimated market value of €5 million, Avom would bring valuable experience and skills to the team. Sunderland FC aims to stay in the top flight and is ready to invest in recruiting the best players. The outcome of this deal is worth watching closely.
Arthur Avom Ebong.... Great name. I'm thinking a song based on Kylie's Padam Padam Eeeebong ebong! Soz
It’s a funny one. The lad sounds quality but would he want to come here in his heart / settle ok? I’d hate for us to spend big money and get a player who isn’t 100% committed. No fault to the player, necessarily, just that the players who work best can be the ones that are desperate to come after we agree a fee. Just a ramble as the lad is a die hard Lyon fan if I remember an earlier post right.
Happy with the Abline link, we need another quality striker but very happy for it to be one with potential instead of a straight up starter, as really don’t want to see Mayenda blocked, his potential is absolutely massive. We will play with 1 up front most of the season so flexibility between him, Isidor and whoever comes in will be key
@ALeagueHQ JUST IN - Triantis update from @ScottBurns75 (): Nectar Triantis wants the chance to try and impress Regis Le Bris (Sunderland manager) before he makes a decision on his future. Triantis will return for pre-season with Sunderland this week. Hibs would be keen on another loan or to buy Triantis but that move is currently up in the air. It would take a club record purchase that the Hibs board are prepared to sanction but first they need Triantis to tell them he wants to come back to Hibs.
