I wonder what Cirkin does? He will want to play I think. Doesnt strike me as a lad who will be keen to be a squad player. If he wants to move on he will have plenty of options. Despite all the excitement of new players, I have no doubt our existing lads have still got plenty of eyes on them.

I’m really pleased about that signing, I’m saying that as someone who was really against the Angelino signing.

Just so much more in keeping with the smart way we’ve been running the club. We should only be lying relatively big fees for older pros if they are absolute stick-on starters and transformational upgrades. Doing this sort of deal frees us from the perils of failure. If he’s ****e we’ve not hamstrung ourselves. Meanwhile we’ve got a credible hedge against cirkin getting injured or failing to make the grade.

Suspect we could leave fullback areas as they are now. Just need that game changing centre half.
