I agree about Le Fee. The talent is clear, but he hasnt made much of an impact on league position or performance level yet. I still have hopes he makes the difference the rest of the season, but if I am being honest having 1 £20m player is probably less impactful than 3 £7m, or 2 £10m players right now. Not saying we shouldnt have done the deal in Jan, but I wouldnt do it in the summer if we are a championship club.
Le Fee has never been in the position where he is fit and in a position to receive the ball regularly enough to significantly influence play. Hopefully that is the play off games, then we can judge.
Seems like whatever division we are in, we should be after a decent-sized change in the squad with incomings and outgoings.
Not sure how 100% true this is, Leicester and Ipswich both could be getting hit with massive fines for breaking FPP, points deduction starting from next season and transfrer bans. if, IF this true....
Roberts should be a squad player now. I love him. His goal scoring is a problem but he’s created a lot of chances and got a good return on assists this season and should have more. dolans record isn’t much better mind
Yeah Dolan not the solution but Roberts is probably still a problem - we'd be mad not to sign a right winger.
His xA per chance created is extremely low, his chance creation is nowhere near as good as people think. I see zero positives Roberts brings to the side. Really, really dislike him.
I like him but he's so frustrating, probably the most skillful player in the squad but absolutely no end product. Definitely needs some competition on that side.
I would say he works pretty hard pressing and tracking back, moreso that there are positives he brings but they are pretty easily replicated by any new signing.
Actually I thought he was great in the brief period him and Poveda were both fit, maybe pushed him a bit.
Sometimes yeah, other games absolutely not. For a player who will be one of the highest paid players in the squad, played in the Champions League, won trophies, I think his performances are pretty pathetic to be honest.
I love Dolan’s raw pace. Add pace on the right to what we have and we’d be a nightmare to defend against.
I think we should be looking for pure pace at RW like we have with Mundle, especially if we are going to rely on counter-attacking most of the time.
Think thats the main issue isn't it, he should be doing so much more and shows he has the ability. Frustrating. Trying to think who I like as right winger options: Antman - they just qualified for europe so probably not now Trenskow - Seems to have had injury problems this season but loved him in scandinavia Gulliksen - Useful across the whole front line and behind a striker Broholm - Bit raw but clearly talented After that I'm not really sure how optimistic we can go with how much we want to spend.
I wouldn't be against having him in the squad, most Rovers fans view him as an impact sub and hes wildly inconsistent - a pretty dangerous impact sub though and something we don't have on that side.
