Yeh would be dead easy. The Louis Dreyfus Group Stadium of Light Not a single person would call it that. It's like the Allianz Stadium, Twickenham. Its still called Twickenham.
I hope not! Needs a whole new team, a whole new profile of player to scout and a bloody age to coach in successfully. Given all the changes we need to make, adding fundamental structural stuff feels like unnecessary additional risk to me. Might explain why we’re not linked with any left wingers yet but would mean we’re absolutely ****ing desperate for a rwb.
Yeah. Badly worded but young players with some level of reputation get multiple chances to recoup money. If they fail, you loan them out and see if they can get going in a different environment. Happens over and over. It’s a trick that is massively more difficult with older players. Once they flop they tend to stay flopped - or at least nobody is paying big money for them anyway.
One thing I do find a bit funny though is that Phil Smith (just under the assumption he would’ve done some form of exclusive himself if he knew this information prior) and Keith Downie look to have heard the same bits of info at the same time, which indicates to me the deal is at a stage where the club are happy to leak bits out
I was going through these and thought "they're missing a down in Acapulco one" and there it is hahaha
Perhaps. Or they're piggybacking. It all sounds good either way. I'd still like a Romano update as I think he's gonna be the key revealer here.
Not in the slightest. If they’re a flop for us we loan them out and get a bigger proportion of our cash back from an eventual sale. If we try that trick with an older player our chances of recouping cash are much more limited. That’s what I said, albeit poorly worded.
Disappointed I finished golf to see the club shut down the bulka done deal and nothing else had happened
Tbf though it's still a promising report, a fee is now being talked about and it pushed Sunderland feeling confident about it
