According to a Ghanaian outlet he turned us down for this move

Everyone seems universal in their assessment that he’s a bit crap at defending. And we’re a team who will be doing a LOT of defending.

People regarded PVA as poor defensively but he was still overall a benefit to the side. It’s no longer just about defending for fullbacks.

Lot of players moving this year that I'd be after if we stay up, but then again there'll be more young talented lads next year too - I'm totally in the mindset of survival is the priority and if we can do that in a financially efficient way that doesn't cripple us if we fail then bring it on.

of course not and I’d be more up for it as an established premier league team but I think we’re going to be defending for our lives at times next season. I want us to sign a defensively solid left back, even if it’s at the expense of some forward attributes
