Think i'd like that. Pretty dominant in the air, consistently around 60%+ aerial duel win rate and averaging over 3 aerial duels won per game.
This is where I think we need to be different. Given how far off safety Ipswich were, we need to aim higher with signings. I'd like us to avoid signing 'best in the championship' kind of signings, especially if they are to be first choice.
Had some great "aerial duels won" stats last season, not sure if that means he's too similar to Ballard though, I wouldn't consider this player a Championship player though, he has played most of his career games in the Premiership at this point.
Played more outside the premier league and has been relegated in every premier League season (3/3). I think he's a solid player that an established premier league team could bring in as a backup option but doesn't move the needle enough to stay up. Not a bad player just not the right player for me.
Yeah he cost them £15m a year ago, they'll want something similar if not more this summer. Better options abroad for that kind of money.
Wonder if we will be looking at Bruno Durdov to replace Roberts. Maybe too early for him, but looks a serious talent.
Certainly an exciting prospect who I'd be happy to sign, but for the 21s. He doesn't even start games in Croatia but yeah like you say is certainly a big talent.
Agoume looked like a good option for CDM but is attracting interest from Arsenal. Are there some other promising CDMs in Ligue 1 (or La Liga) that we could add into our midfield mix, and develop ?
Ligue Un u23 DM: - Amadou Kone - Valentin Atangana - Djaoui Cisse - Neil El Aynaoui - Soungoutou Magassa - Lamine Camara - couple more definitely out of reach La Liga: - Ibrahim Alani (for the future) - Urko González - Enzo Barrenechea (apparently available cheap?) - Ilaix Moriba - probably nobody else able to be pulled away from Europe. That's just off the top of my head im sure I've missed a few.
Signed Moriba loads on FM so would have been up for that but he signed for Celta Vigo permanently today
Yeah they exercised the buy option in the loan but I do think that a sale isn't out of the question - only cost them 6m euros so teams like celta happily turn a quick profit.
Anyone who knows more than me, is Triantis not performing better than Miller is in scottish football?
From January to March I would have said there wasn't a single player better than nectar. But millers season was more impressive all round and hes more likely to be able to make the leap to a higher standard.
Hard to compare the 2, Triantis played for the inform team while Miller played in a strugglinb Motherwell team Triantis was class and he was arguably Hibs player of the season (certainly top 3). I watched them play each other and Miller looked levels above Triantis tbh, Miller was often a 1 man midfield for Motherwell, while Hibs had a real solid midfield. The areas that I think Triantis really struggled with - covering the ground quickly and playing on the half turn would be found out at the higher level. Miller excelled in these areas when I've seen him, his spacial awareness is on a different level to CMs up here at the minute Miller's upside is there, I honestly think he will play regular champions league football in the future I really like Triantis but when you watch the 2 you can see why Miller is rated higher
