Him or O'Reilly might be decent from city towards the last weeks of the window.

I feel like a loan with a buy option for another player - can then open up space for a 2nd loan in January and make this one permanent
Bobb and O’Reilly are different from
Delap, Doyle etc in that City see them as future first team players and want to develop them to that point.

On that basis and bearing in mind there’d be a lot of suitors I don’t think we’d have much chance of getting them here as they’ll likely want them going to a team that will have a lot of control of the ball rather than a team ceding possession and looking to counter attack.

Mind, I could be wrong, maybe they’d identify their defensive positioning and work rate as a weakness and think a season being disciplined, working back and keeping shape as being ideal for their development.

I don't think it's an impossible one, macatee was someone they did see as one for the future and he spent 2 years at Sheffield united.

Admittedly I'm also not convinced O'Reilly has a long-term future there, he's looked really promising but they can always afford better.

If you all could pick any realistic/ semi realistic signing who would it be?

Mine would be Omari Hutchinson/Bissouma/Uche

I really can’t pick and I’m probably forgetting loads that I like but aye haha

In my opinion, our biggest selling points to younger players are playing time, development and our willingness to sell. Someone like McAtee for example could go to a 'better' team, earn more money but only play a handful of games, whereas he could come here, get 25+ starts and get a move to Spurs or someone in 2027.

More likely they just need the wage and squad space for better

I don’t trust myself to pick as I don’t watch enough football!! I do think Ross Barkley would be good though

O'reilly is a cracking shout, he's not a LB imo and would do well in that no10 role for us frkm what I've seen of him in youth football

I very much doubt O'Reilly will be going anywhere mind. He looks good enough for them now.

No pathway for him at all now midfield stacked to the gills and actively looking at signing a LB to start over him there.

He's also hardly even played this season.

Singo is the one I really want, just have a great feeling about him here
He does feel like a tap in, but I also have an uneasy feeling about how carried away we all are with the reports. He's leaving a club in the champions league as one of their most consistent performers.
