One benefit of signing lucumi AND alderete is that neither are going to AFCON so one could cover left back then if needed

Really I assumed with them both being left footed and Alderete also being able to play lb they’d both be for the lcb so would be one of the 2 now bare in mind I don’t know much about either

Yeah I noticed the club mentioning that. Looking forward to both games, a couple of good tests and then the first of 38 big ones next Saturday. Can’t wait to be in the SOL for that, will be a special moment after 8 years out of the prem.

he’s a sneaky ball player. Getafe averaged second least possession in la liga despite finishing 8th. He’s brilliant at defending the box but you can see his progressive passes are only just below lucumi, despite them averaging 17% more possession, so he does have an eye for a pass

perfect for the system?

Looks like he’s been absent from training and not included in the list of players for their friendly against Lyon tonight. Unexplained by Getafe why too.

Maybe it has legs
