If he suddenly became available there’d be top European clubs in for him offering CL football. I’m certain he won’t be back here any time soon
Would honestly be unbelievable if we did. The Man U interest hasn't went away from Jan when they were really pushing. Keeping him now would be a huge plus.
Honestly keeping Jobe is worth so much more than what he will bring on the pitch. His value next summer will be £20m or so more than it is now. that said I won’t get excited until somebody other than team talk report similar
Jobe could jump up another level, and rigg could do similar to what happened to jobe. Still need quality replacements for samed and probably Browne. Give aleksic to the championship for a full season, send him to Boro so he’s close by
I got a text from a scout the other day, whose team are after Jobe, saying "things are getting interesting" He thought he was sent to join a team and it had all been agreed but after I got that news broke of him being in Germany I just thought he meant he was moving to another team instead but wonder if he was hinting at Jobe staying I have pushed him for more information but he is staying quiet at the minute
I still fully believe he's off me, their heads are screwed on and I don't think he would risk a potential relegation when he can go and play in europe
Said this as soon as he was mentioned. Very little chance Man U let him go. Even if they did, we can't afford the fee. Even if we could, we couldn't meet his wage demands. Even if we could, he'd have interest from teams offering Champions League football. And there is no "even if we could" to that last one, we just can't compete. It's an absolute pipedream, imo.
Its a balancing act isn't it Wait for your main targets or supplement the squad with good solid players then add the quality later on
Wont get my hopes up with Jobe, but at least theres a bit of talk about there being at least a little chance he stays. How big of a compliment would it be though if he did, in terms of his belief in how were are being ran and how productive a place it is to develop. Think he'd stand out in the Prem me, just has everything you want in a player in the middle of the park. His progression in the past 12 months has been incredible like, wasnt sure what he was last year or how he was fitting into the 11. Beast since moving to the 8 for a lot of the season. Only 19 man.
yeh exactly. I think there’s an element of not wanting to be tarnished with a potential laughing stock season. Not saying that’s what will happen but we’re favourites to be relegated so of course it’s a possibility
Think we should try and get our main targets done soonish and then target squad depth/loans towards the end of August. I know it's easier said than done but the playoffs put us on the backfoot to begin with
Totally, you could risk not ever getting in that quality if you wait - but your targets might not be available straight away.
