I have openly stated many times why football is so important to me. It is down to my love of football players. I get attached, have always done. I dont think I am wrong in that, it is how I enjoy the game. I also think football should allow some sentimentality, again I dont accept I am wrong, it is how I relate to football.

Being back in the premier league is brilliant. Delighted for the fans more than anything. The club are having a brilliant go at staying up. Fair play. Would I prefer a slightly different approach? Yes. But that isnt important really, the club surviving is. KLD has far more nous than me. I am just a soft old git who romanticises football and football players far too much.

Keeper sorted which is the good thing. Doesn’t feel like a signing that means patto won’t have a chance either, good competition for two young keepers. Looking forward to seeing what people who know about him think

Never really heard of Roef but West Ham, Ajax and Lille all linked recently suggests he’s decent. Could be more like genuine competition for Patto where they really have to impress.
