Going back to a question I had a few weeks ago is becoming more relevant,,,,,from the team who played/came on at the Play off Semi final and Final...how many will get sufficient minutes to make it worthwhile keeping them...

For me, Hume, Ballard, Mayenda, Rigg, Cirkin, Also think Huggins and maybe Patto given the clubs current buying policy I would think maybe 2 or 3 of these will make the step up to become "regular" Premier League players ... For what its worth, I think Rigg will be eased in next season and his break out season will be 26/27.

Bologna Transfer Market: Jhon Lucumi Is No Longer Up for Sale

Dan Ndoye's fairytale with the rossoblù has reached the end credits, while Jhon Lucumi will continue to wear the Bologna jersey . The club had built a wall: between the Swiss and the Colombian, only one of the two will leave the city. Well, yesterday it was confirmed that the match winner of the Coppa Italia final will leave Bologna, while the central defender remains locked in Bologna.

The Rossoblu management has already spoken with Lucumi : regardless of possible offers from Sunderland or the interest of teams like Atletico Madrid, Villarreal, and Betis, the Colombian will remain in Bologna . The Premier League club had attempted to make a move by increasing the fee to €25 million (including bonuses), coming close to the Rossoblu's asking price of €28 million, but to no avail. Jhon Lucumi is no longer in the spotlight and, with his contract expiring in 2027, answers are awaited regarding his renewal .

I can see him being targeted and really got at
I dont worry much about his pace, I dont think hes a slouch by any means and there will be similar paced fulls backs in the league who do well.

What has worried me since hes been here is I think he dives in really needlessly at times and will make it way too easy for prem wingers. At times youll get the Bereton Diaz in the play off final moment, others youll get the Gordon in the Fa Cup moment.

Will need to improve to make the step up, but he's probably the last player from last years team that I think we need to replace going into this season (well apart from ELF).

Can’t argue with any of that mate. I think he’ll playing 30+ PL games for us this season, if fit

Shame that but not surprised, one of the first articles linking him here mentioned they'd only sell on of Ndoye and Lucumi.

Haven't heard much on Diakite recently, hopefully we do soon.

So, if he doesn't renew, will they allow him to run down his contract and leave for nowt next summer. Somehow, I doubt it. Sounds like a load of flannel to get the offer upped.
